How we work
Short feedback loops, written decisions, and everything we build lands in your accounts. Here is what to expect, from the first call to the day we leave.
From first call to handover
1. A 30-minute call, free. Tell us what is hurting. We will ask a lot of questions and probably challenge a few assumptions. By the end you will know whether we can help, and if not, who probably can. No pitch deck.
2. A written proposal, within a week. Scope, deliverables, timeline and price. Fixed where the problem can be scoped, time-based where it genuinely can’t. You know what you pay for before you agree to anything.
3. The work, in two-week iterations. Each iteration ends with a short written check-in: what got done, what we learned, what changes. Code, infrastructure, queries, dashboards and docs go into your repositories and your cloud accounts from day one.
4. Handover. When the engagement ends, your team can run what we built. That is the test. If they can’t, the work isn’t finished.
Engagement models
| Model | When it fits | Typical commitment |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed-scope starter | You want a clear answer to one question: cost, readiness, data quality, a first dashboard. | 2-3 weeks |
| Project | You know what needs to be built or fixed. | 1-3 months |
| Fractional team | You need senior platform or data people, but not a full-time hire yet. | 1-3 days a week, 3+ months |
| Advisory | You have a team. It needs a sparring partner, reviews and the occasional pairing session. | A few hours a month |
Who we work best with
- Startups and scale-ups past the stage where one person heroically holds the infrastructure together.
- Companies with data in five places and three different answers to “how many active customers do we have?”
- Engineering teams of 10 to 80 people that need a platform but don’t have a platform team yet.
- Teams that have had one incident too many and want to fix the system, not only the bug.
Who we are probably not right for
- Pure feature development. We do infrastructure, reliability and data.
- “Build exactly this and don’t ask questions.” Asking the right questions is half of what you pay for.
- Anyone looking for a big team on site five days a week. We are small on purpose.
Practical details
- Where: Italy, remote-first. On site for kick-offs and workshops anywhere in the EU.
- Languages: English and Italian. Calls and workshops also in German.
- Time zone: CET. Comfortable overlap with the UK, the rest of Europe and US East Coast mornings.
- Your data stays yours: we work inside your accounts, under your access controls, and sign an NDA or data processing agreement when needed.
Tell us what's broken.
A few sentences is enough. We reply within one working day and the first call is free.
