A two-person consultancy based in Italy. One of us comes from platform engineering and SRE, the other from data analysis and data science.
Why two disciplines
Most of the problems we see sit on the boundary. A dashboard that is wrong because a pipeline silently dropped events. A cloud bill that doubled because an analytics job scans the whole warehouse every hour. A launch that failed because nobody measured what “working” meant.
Each of those needs someone who understands the systems and someone who understands the numbers. We are both, in the same team.
What we bring
- More than 14 years in DevOps, SRE and platform engineering, for startups and larger companies, on Google Cloud and AWS, with Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Hands-on data analysis and data science: SQL, Python, statistics, dashboards, forecasting and experiments.
- Products of our own in production, which keeps us honest about what is easy to recommend and hard to run. Some of them are on the Work page.
How we think
- Boring technology that your team can run beats clever technology that only we can.
- Every recommendation comes with the trade-off we would make, and why.
- Written beats verbal. Decisions, runbooks and metric definitions are written down where your team will find them.
- We leave. The point is that you don’t need us afterwards.
